A-Mei Concert 4 OCT

A-Mei's the BEST !

Out of so mani concerts which i went before, A-Mei's was the best ! Bought the $158 seats and went with my bf. Gosh .. imagine sitting at the 7th row, if i am a fanatic fan of her, i sure go berserk upon seeing her at such distance. Her voice is damn good and power ... esp the encore part, when she managed to bring every single audience to stand up and dance to her songs and get high. Took a lot of close-up pics of her , would upload soon. I like one of the songs which she sang - If i ain't got you. Still humming that song nowadays .... the lyrics sound so true.

3rd month into my job as a HR Management Exec, used to the NSFs and senior female clerks calling me "Mdm". The boss and my staffs are nice people, unlike the other Branches' peeps, so into politics - one thing which i deterred and still trying my best in avoiding it. Oh ya, one of my coursemate - Xiu ye, just joined my branch. Though we belong to the same dept, we dun even have the time to talk, as we are doing different matter. The 6 days' induction course is so fun and relaxed, gotta know quite a number of new friends from other depts / units. WE would juz gather tgt and gossip abt our boss/colleagues and also exchange pointers. Another 2 days to Pay Day !!!

Counting down .....

7 days Shopping Spree in Bangkok

Woohooo it's feels good to be home sweet home !!!

Was away in Bangkok since 15th, it was a planned trip with my boy and his family; with my bf as the tour guide. Haha =P checked into a no star hotel named "First House Hotel" , booked from Asiarooms website. It was considered as having the cheapest room rates at $17/night/pax (inclusive of breakfast). First night arrived there, had some supper from 7-11 and rested early.

Second day, first visit to Siam Paragon, the most extravagant shopping mall in Bangkok, almost similar to Sing's Paragon - it has all the imported brands and expensive stuffs here. After which, went to Big-C shopping mall, which has the biggest hypermart in which i bought lots of green curry and tom yam paste from there. Lolz... had the first meal at the food centre there . Realised that one food court contains varieties of food , ranging from Thai to Japanese food; price is reasonable - from 30 to 80 baht (converting based on $1 to 23 baht , so it's abt $1.20 - $3.50). Then went to have dessert at Swesen which only sells ice-cream, with no main courses. But it's cheap - Imagine a 8 scoops EARTHQUAKE at only $11 ??? Then we headed for Hard Rock Cafe at Siam Square, which was also some distance away from my hotel , walked for about 20 mins. Ordered the famous Nachos and pork knuckles and beer !!! We 6 spent about 2000 baht in all . Yummy ~~~

Third Day (Sat) headed to Chatuchak , weekend market. Went there by 3 taxis , costing about 100 bahts per taxi. The market is damn big and crowded, with Ang Mohs and locals. Spent quite alot there, and i love the milk tea they sell there, will miss it when i am. Then to MBK for shopping. Found some bargins over here, love the people there, a friendly lot. Spent the remaining evening at Platinum Mall for shopping.

Fourth Day, headed to Grand Palace and Wat Po. Entrance fee to GP was 250 baht and FOC for Wat Po. The place was magnificent, with gold trimmed border and columns plated with gold. Then headed to Zen Central World, juz 15 mins walk from my hotel for lunch. After which, to Erawan Shrine for praying to the 4-faced Buddha. Spent the remaining hours at Platinum Mall for shopping again - since it's a 6 stories fashion mall.

Fifth Day, went to the "pasar Malam" areas juz below the hotel , i guessed if wanna finish the area , at least 8 hours ba ! The stuffs here are cheaper than all shopping malls, as they sell by wholesale - at least 3 pieces and above. There's this City Complex nearby which is a wholesale centre and i found lots of good bargins here , luckily din spent much at those big malls !!! Haha .... Sent my bf's family home and we rotted at a nearby shopping mall and had dinner at A&W.

6th Day was relaxing, since most of the places have been visited, so we decided to head to Siam Ocean World at Siam Paragon which was the largest underwater aquarium in Asia. The entrance fees (including 4-D movie and boat ride) was originally at 1190 baht , but as it was a tuesday, we only paid 675 baht. Frankly speaking, if u like underwater creatures, it is worth visiting !!!! Much bigger than Sentosa's.

Last day was spent on last minute shopping and also to experience the Foot Massage there. Felt sooooooooooooooo relaxed. The foot massage costs 200 baht for an hour session. The masseuse was Superb, made me wanna bring her home . Hahahaha ..... realli miss the massage, how i wish to go there again !!!!

Good bye, Bangkok .... Taiwan here i comes !!!!

NOTE : SO BURNT !!!

Good-BYE MR. Examinations

WOOHOO....!!!!!

Final paper ended todae .. what a great day it was. However, also developed some mixed feelings - suddenly like lose direction , as in , dunno what to do since no more study. Gotta start some serious planning soon =)

Went tried out the SAKAE restaurant newly opened in NTU, the service was pretty bad, ordered two dishes - Cheese Katsu Yaki and Grilled yaki , was asked to wait 3-10 mins, but ended up waiting 90 minutes for it. Qiaoli almost turned red. After lunch, we headed straight to town for some movie treats , caught "Definitely, Maybe" which launched a month ago. Not a bad movie with good plots. Waiting for IRONMAN & What happens in VEGAS to be launched.

Oh yeah ... the following section is for my blog reader =P
It was about a new acquainted "hi-bye" friend, labelled as A who pissed me off with all her ugly sides. For more info, would update u on MSN. Take Care.

ENJOY THE HOLS peeps ...

Awaiting May Trips

Last weekend just placed deposit of 500 bucks for a trip to Taiwan. The full price is $1158 for a 8 days tour package, guessed was the best price for that period; afterall checked out most agencices package le. So in general, 14th May shall be the start of my trip. First trip would be heading towards Thailand, Bangkok for a week till 21st May. After which, rest a few days, then start flying again on 24th May to Taiwan. This shall be the last time i am heading towards a chinese country. For the few years down the road, shall try exploring europe countries, japan or even Korea.

Next week gonna be a quizes packed week, two core quizes to study for and also preparing to submit the final report for my FYP. GOD bless me and my fellow coursemates =). One part of me juz wanna end the school life and walk into the working society but, somehow i think i would miss the school days .... & of course, schoolmates. **sigh*** gotta accept the fact that nuttin lasts forever. ~ At least it came true for different occasions throughout my life.

Todae was rather bad for me ... gotta find someone to substitute a friend on the Taiwan tour due to some stupid excuses. Trying hard to solve this problem. And then also, raised my volume on one of my friend, like preaching her to really "wake up" from a futile relationship , and fight for her own autonomy. Cant stand "wishy washy" people (though i am one myself) in relationships ... but i am still the outsider, and are in no position to speak up, so ...... *i give up*. Juz wishing them all the best.

Take care friends.

Happi Sweet 23 =)

23? Another year older , but still, i am young at heart =P Haha ... 23 also marks the new journey which i am gng to embark in 3 months' time. Another month before school life finally ends, it's realli an apprehension to what i am gng to expect in future. Wil i get a ideal job or ends up job hopping ? *crossing my fingers*

Oh well...this year birthday celebration is pretty simple. My uni gang pre-celebrated with me a day before cos i dun have sch on the actual day. We went to JP crystal jade kitchen and had a hearty lunch. Though it was carried out in a time-constraint situation, we still managed to enjoy our lunch . Thanks for their lovely gifts too ~~ The actual day was spent on gng to Nihon Mura (Japanese Village) at the Jurong West stadium, had the late lunch buffet . Din know that my appetite was so good. Tried out almost all the items on the menu. I highly recommends the dessert - that has green tea ice-cream with red bean combination - just so tongue licking good ! Haha ....

After that went to Vivocity, my usual hangout spot for shopping. Juz love the sea breeze ther , though now the scenery is rather BAD ... juz hope it would get better soon with all those construction works completed. Got a few items and a cake. then we headed towards Labrator Park , a distance away from Vivocity. Saw a few army personnels patrolling around - guess most parks / populated areas would have this sight , just because of the escape of Mas Selamat . Wonder when can this whole escapade ends . Well... after cutting the cake along the beach shore line , headed home since Wed still got a long day in school. Anyway .. this year birthday i just dun feel anything. Those who i wish to hear from disappoint me .. but anyway, thanks to all the birthday greetings i got from all my beloved friends ... it's realli heart-warming to hear from alot of long lost friends.

Anyway, i got this Creative Zen player from my bf as my birthday present. Sorry dear .. made ur pocket burnt a BIG hole. Haha ... but i love it alot. thanks thanks. And thank you for bringing me to this ice cream cafe at clementi arcade near sunset bay road. It's named The Daily Scoop ice cream cafe . This shop serves unique ice cream flavour - all with wine/liquor flavours , suits me perfectly. I tried this new flavour named "Xtra Stout" served with big filling waffle. Juz a PERFECT combination. Shall come again next time to try out all the flavours =P. Hehe ....

Rushing through my FYP report now .. juz hope things go smoothly. Take Care friends ....

Busy weeks ahead.

Damn ! The one week recess week just passes like a gush of wind, spent most of the time on FYP and econs project. Sometimes i juz cant wait for FYP to end asap , mayb that's the time to really relax. Well .. this few days have been exchanging emails with an old friend in Japan. Gosh ... she is really enjoying herself studying ther, travelling around , & she's gng FRANCE in APR ~ juz make me envious. Planning to visit her in Dec if i've got a job by that time ? Haha ***Crossing my fingers.

These few months, i guessed my mentality really changed alot .... first would be on family. In the past, i remembered telling a friend that friends matter more to me as compared to friends . I guessed i must have placed too much emphasis of being a good friend and putting them as priority. As time goes by, especially after spending time with my bf's family during the CNY and the weekends, i've really revised my thoughts. I guess there's still time to make amendments , to spend more time on my family instead. Another to be discerning in making friends ... - keep those who is worthy in your heart & keep the rest at arm length ? Haha .... shall see how.

Oh ya... Maroon 5's new album is out - can try listening to the music. Quite soothing. Still planning for the grad trip ... it's either Taiwan or SEA tour.

***I need sleep***

Love is all around =)

Happi V-day !!!

Wrappings done by me , not easy =)

Yesterday was a special day for the lovebirds as well as for friends. On the night before, i was busy preparing small gifts for my course mates & buddies ; it's been a custom for me for years. Haha =) Hope they will like it .

This little flower was given by Jing , my best buddy of all times .... Thank you girl .

After my lessons , i met my beloved bf , who came all the way to fetch me from sch. Realli appreciate his efforts . Then we drove all the way to Tiong Bahru, to send a stalk of rose to my late grandpa whose tablet was placed at a temple along Jalan Membina. V-day was special to me as it is also my grandpa's death anniversary, i would make it a point to "celebrate" with my late grandpa every year. I also got my bf's v-day gift which is a Deuter hiplets (a pouch as well as a backpack) at a shop in TBP.

My dinner was settled at his place where he made me a meal - IKEA's meatball , all ingredients were bought from IKEA. Gosh ! Couldnt believe it at first, cos this was the first time i saw my bf cook. Took a few snapshots down for memories.

That's the BOON's Delicacies, taste nicer with the JAM

A music classical box given by dear - You're my sunshine

And lastly i was presented with a bouquet of sunflowers to match the theme. LOL. This year V-day is be the most memorable among the last 4 years'. We have made a decision that we would not spend bucks to eat in restaurants on V-day anymore, juz simple fare would make the day.

Todae, suddenly had the mood to go exhaust my throat ; so just went to the nearest KTV place
@ NANYANG CC. Costs abt $14/pax for 4 hrs singing session. Realli enjoyed the singing .

Oh well ... tmr meeting Birdie, cant wait for that.

Complicated

Todae a sms shocked me up from my sleep . Though i slept ard 3am last night, i couldnt carry on my lazy sleep after i read this sms at 10am. A friend has just broken with her bf for 4 years. All i can say is that: " Love does not only involve the two parties , but also involve the two families. " Because of family's disapproval, this love birds gotta separate. *sigh* just hope they can find the right person in future.

Oh well , yesterday celebrated my bf's grandma 68th birthday at his uncle's house. Was a great celebration ... imagine the whole apartment packed with 22 grandchildren, 24 adults ? It was a joyous occasion, could see grandma beaming with smiles all the while. Guess it's the kind of family i wish to have in future cos i came from a small family, with 2 uncles and 1 auntie from both my parents side. however, try to stay away from politics !!!! Haha ....

Yeah ... CNY is coming ! Been doing some spring cleaning now n then ! Gng to get new year clothes soon ....

A mistake

School started last week - was quite a "empty" week except Tuesday which was my 14 hrs lab day ! But i was rather happy since my FYP lab is 80% completed, now only left with some sample characterization and a conceptual model design. Started on some parts of the report, somehow dun feel like doing it, still procrastinating things as days go by.

Haiz ...these few weeks, i've been bothered abt some stuff - An old friend was sacrificed for a new one. I guessed the reason must be i've spent too much time on the new friend ( labelled 'B') and has neglected this old friend ('A'). Somehow over some period of time, A drifted apart. I've always been talking about treasuring friends etc., but this has proved me wrong. In the end, i 'lost' both friends. I know i might have hurt A badly in a way; failed my part as a friend. Anyway, i just wish the two of them to be jovial everyday. No matter what happens, once a friend, always a friend .

Can things just stay the same ?

Life's so unpredictable ...

Recently, a well-known Actor, also a deejay in local radio station, passed away suddenly during his sleep. This news really came as a shock; I almost thought it was a joke when i heard it from a family member. Who could believe a 40 years old, full of zeal and optimistic person could just passed away without any illness. I have just read his blog, and i believe Jimmy Nah has reached his defined paradise. This is what he mentioned in his personal data :

"喜欢戏剧,喜欢表演,也喜欢摄影。

一只从不屈服的“蟑螂”,生命力很强。

曾被“遗弃”了一段时间;现在却卷土从来,努力奋斗。

可就是不断有“小人”的出现;就当成挑战吧。"

It really makes me wonder .... what'll happen when the day i am gone from this world ? Will my friends mourn for me as a real friend or just come for the mourning just because he/she has to come ? Life's so unpredictable , no one knows when his/her time will be up , what i am sure of is to cherish the people around me, and also to live everyday to the fullest as i do not want any regrets to follow me to the other world. Life's is funny too ~ one would only realize regrets only when damage has been done. 22 years of life, i do have some regrets which i could never turn back the time and change the history. But i am blessed to have good friends who are always there for me in times of needs. Though at times, i may say things which are redundant but please understand where i am coming from, i meant no harm. LOL.
